介入手法In response to growing biosecurity threats in the Pacific and the Pacific step-up agenda, DFAT and DAWE entered into the Pacific Plant Biosecurity Partnership to realise more effective engagement by Australia in driving agricultural sector growth and improved food security through better market access and biosecurity outcomes. The program will: 1) Boost agricultural export opportunities for Pacific Island farmers and exporters, 2) Introduce International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Generic ePhyto National System (GeNS), 3) Develop and deliver a plant Biosecurity operations training accreditation program, 4) Develop and deliver a regional trade and market access communication strategy, and 5) Scope the need and benefit of updating or redeveloping the regional plant pest and biosecurity status database. The total estimated value of this investment is $2.1 million to be expensed over 3 years, starting 2020-21 financial year.
